The scarf production begins high in the Himalayas, where local goats grow an exquisite undercoat to survive the cold 4000m altitude. During the spring moulting season, this delicate fiber is carefully hand-combed — a process that can take up to six hours per animal — then spun, dyed, woven, and embroidered entirely by hand.
Embroidered time: 6-8 months, all made by hand in Kashmir, India.
